My immigration story starts in 1985, my parents had flown to Australia on a tourist visa and had me as a child.

Then we fell in love with the Australian lifestyle, so much that we over stayed our tourist visa. This is a big no no.

Tip 1. What ever you do, don't over stay your tourist visa if you want to emigrate to Australia. (we learnt the hard way)

Even in the late 1980’s Getting Permanent Residency was Hard. In total, from first landing in Australia to Getting PR, it took us 8 long years. We finally returned to Australia and as a family got our Permanent Residency and were so happy to have successfully emigrated to Australia.

We made so many mistakes to migrate to Australia and back then there was no internet so we couldn't follow a blog like this one to educate ourselves. So i am happy to help you to not make the same mistakes as we did.

Actually, these days most of my friends are from all over the world, some are actively seeking permanent residency, the others have already successfully got their PR.

The main reason I have created this blog, Is so that my friends would become permanent residents and i wouldn't have to say goodbye to them. This would be sad for me and sad for them.
