Skilled Occupation List is now Consolidated Skilled Occupation List (CSOL)

Skilled Occupation List is now the Consolidated Skilled Occupation List (CSOL)

With the aim of making things more streamlined.

DIAC have Revealed the new Consolidated Skilled Occupation List (CSOL) 30 June 2012. This is a consolidaton of ENSOL (for ENS visa), 457 List, 442 (Occupational Trainee) lists.

The CSOL replaces the Employer Nominated Scheme (ENS), Temporary Business (Long Stay – Subclass 457), and General Skilled Migration (GSM) State / Territory nominated Skilled Occupations Lists.

The CSOL, together with the Schedule 1 Skilled Occupation List (SOL), applies to all State / Territory nominated GSM, ENS Direct Entry and Standard Business sponsors who make nominations in relation to Subclass 457 visas, and Occupational Trainee Sponsors who make nominations in relation to a Subclass 442 visas.

The new Schedule 1 SOL List has also been announced. The new Schedule 1 – Skilled Occupation List (SOL), is used to determine eligible occupations for non-sponsored or nominated skilled migration purposes. This is for the following visa subclasses:

  • Subclass 189 visa (Skilled Independent);
  • Subclass 485 visa (Skillled Graduate);
  • Subclass 487 visa (Skilled Regional Sponosred – Provisional) , if the applicant is not nominated by a State or Territory government agency;
  • Subclass 489 visa (Skilled Regional Sponored – Permanent), if the applicant is not nominated by a State or Territory government agency;
  • Subclass 885 visa (Skilled Independent – Onshore); or
  • Subclass 886 visa (Skilled Sponsored – Onshoer), if the applicant is not nominated by a State or Territory government agency.

 

General Skilled Migration PASS MARKS:

  • Applications lodged before 1 July 2011
    Subclasses 175 and 885: 120
    Subclasses 176, 487, 475 and 886: 100
  • Applications lodged on or after 1 July 2011
    Subclasses 175, 176, 487, 475, 885 and 886: 65
  • Applications lodged on or after 1 July 2012
    New subclasses 189, 190 and 489: 60
